Introduction
Indo Asian Academy Education Trust’s Sri Krishna Rukmini College of Nursing, a prestigious
unit of the Indo Asian Academy Group of Institutions, was established in 2007 under the
visionary leadership of Dr. Prof. T. Ekambaram Naidu, with the aim of advancing quality
nursing education in India. Affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences
(RGUHS), Karnataka, and approved by both the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the
Karnataka State Nursing Council (KNC), the college is dedicated to shaping compassionate,
skilled, and globally competent nursing professionals.
The college has successfully trained and graduated 750 students since its inception, with 18
batches earning prestigious gold medals from RGUHS—an outstanding testament to the college's
commitment to academic excellence. Graduates from Sri Krishna Rukmini College of Nursing

Courses Offered
A B.Sc. (Nursing) is a four-year undergraduate degree program that prepares individuals to
become registered nurses. It provides a comprehensive education in nursing fundamentals,
healthcare management, and clinical practice, equipping students with the knowledge and skills
needed for various healthcare settings.
B.Sc. (Nursing) – Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Duration: 4 Years (8 – Semesters)
Eligibility:
- Candidate with Science who have passed the qualifying 12 th Standard examination (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and passed in English individually.
- Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government having Science subject and English only
- English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Nursing).
Note: The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31 st December of the year in which
admission is sought. The maximum age limit for admission shall be 35 years.
The General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course is a 3.5-year diploma program designed to prepare students to become skilled and compassionate nursing professionals. The three-and-a- half-year program includes a six-month internship requirement. GNM diploma holders can begin their careers working at government or private hospitals and clinics.
The GNM course is approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the Karnataka State
Nursing Council (KNC), and aims to train students to deliver essential nursing care in hospitals
and community healthcare settings.
General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) (Indo Asian Academy School of Nursing)
Duration: 3 Years
Eligibility:
- 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. However, Science is preferable.
- 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing council.
- 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health Care Science from a recognized CBSE board/Centre.
- Registered ANM with pass mark.
